High blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic back pain
"As is often the case with men who reach the milestone age of fifty, I was fat, soft, tired, and generally a mess. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and chronic back pain, and what's more, I had been told that if things didn't change I would need the name of a good cardiologist. Then my life changed forever.
Through a mutual friend, I was introduced to a "professional trainer." After a review of my sorry state of physical fitness, she prescribed a workout schedule that took into consideration both my age and ability. This regimen allowed me to progress at a pace that improved my strength and agility, but without undue stress to my joints and back. What's more, I lost 35 pounds in the process.
Now after some minor lifestyle changes and continued training on a regular basis, I can attest to the fact that I have never felt better, been stronger or been more comfortable in my own body. To illustrate this, I now wakeboard, play golf, ski, and do all the things I want to do, without drugs.
I think that anyone of any age can improve their enjoyment of life by taking advantage of a personal trainer and "Supervised Weight Training."

Overweight, tired all the time, generally out of shape
I had always struggled with weight issues, and finally at the age of 34 decided to do something about it. I joined One to One Health Centers with the goal of losing 30 pounds. Working out with Monica three times a week, I was able to lose 40 pounds and gain something much more important - self-esteem. I feel great, and I now have more energy and drive than ever before. As an added bonus, I have made so many friends at One to One. In fact, at One to One you feel like a member of the family almost immediately - everyone is so supportive and friendly and encouraging. I like to say you come for the health benefits, but you stay for the relationships you create.

Back pain with surgery as the only medical option
Following two years of treatment for back pain, I was told that surgery was the only option. My life revolved around managing the pain. A friend gave me a gift certificate to see Mike or Monica at One to One. I accepted and was challenged to try it for three weeks. By the end of the second week, I was off all the pain medication and had no back pain. I have lost 20+ pounds and can now run for the first time in my life. At 56 years old I am in the best physical shape of my life. I have been a client of One to One for four years now.
